Buy nowOur church is currently using Tithely to manage electronic contributions. We recently integrated with QuickBooks to receive deposits into its accounting system. We need deposits to be credited to specific giving funds both in Tithely and in our QuickBooks chart of accounts. I can't figure out how to make that happen. Anyone out there that uses these software platforms together?
Hi there, becky.
Currently, the Tithely application isn’t supported to integrate with QuickBooks Online (QBO). This means that both apps couldn’t sync each other’s data.
Moreover, to keep both records accurate and match each other. We can manually record your transaction into the product by setting up and recording in-kind donations in QBO.
Before that, you’ll want to consider checking with your accountant to know whether a donation should be recorded in your books as an in-kind donation, and if you are unsure of what the Fair Market Value of a donation is.
To set up in-kind donations, you’ll need to set up an income and clearing account for charitable contributions. Then, create a product or service item for the donation.
Let's start by creating an in-kind donation account to track them:
After that, we can create a clearing account:
Next to it, we can go over to start creating a product and service item for the donation. You can refer to this article for reference: Add product and service items to QuickBooks Online.
Once done, we can start recording your in-kind donation by visiting this resource and referring to Record in-kind donations section: Set up and record in-kind donations in QuickBooks Online.
Let me know if you have more queries about managing transactions in QBO. I’ll be happy to lend a hand for help.
Our Tithely software is already integrated with QuickBooks Online. You reply is telling me that this is not possible??
Hi there, becky.
I'll share clarification about the app you integrated to QuickBooks Online (QBO).
QBO is dependent on the information shared by your third-party app. That being said, I suggest contacting the Tithely Support team. They have special tools that can check and verify if this is possible. They can also perform troubleshooting steps if necessary.
To learn more about manging deposits and chart of accounts in QBO, consider checking out these articles:

Please let me know if you have additional questions about this or anything else. I'll be here to assist. Take care.
Thank you for working through this with me. I did reconfigure our integration through the Tithely app. Hopefully, the problem is resolved. Have a great day!
