Quickbooks mac desktop 2020 light gray characters

I am using Quickbooks Mac Desktop 2020.  When I go to "receive payment" or "pay bills" the customer invoice number, date, customer name, etc are a very light gray color (so it's very hard to read the information).   The "payment" section is black colored and easy to read.   Have attached a photo so you can see what I'm talking about.

Is there any way to make the very light gray characters darker?

Hello, mldostal.

I have some information regarding the font for the line items on invoices or bills.

Currently, you can only edit the invoice template to change the font preferences. We're unable to edit the line item's font on the invoices or bills in the program itself. You can adjust the brightness or contrast settings to see the lighter fonts a little bit clearer.

I recommend reaching out to Apple's support channels for the steps on how to do this.

Our engineers might be working on this particular setting and might add this in the future. I suggest checking our official QuickBooks Mac website for news and updates about the program: https://qblittlesquare.com/.

Can you tell me why they are all light gray and how do I actually go about paying the invoices?

You've come to the right place, @four shooting stars.

Currently, the option to change the font color for items on the lines in invoices is unavailable, you can only change it in form templates. As a workaround, you can follow the recommendation of my colleague, jamespaul to adjust your screen brightness to see the fonts.

Then, here's how to record the payment to the invoice:

  1. Go to the Customers menu and click Receive Payments.
  2. Select the Create a Payment on the left panel. To edit a payment, choose a payment in the list on the left panel and edit the information.
  3. Enter the information at the top of the Payments window: choose the customer's name on the Customer: job field, set the Date, input the Amount, indicate the payment method, and enter a check number if the customer pays you by check.
  4. Tick the box for the outstanding invoices and charges you’re receiving the payment for.
  5. Choose how you want to deposit customer payments (Group with other undeposited funds or Deposit to).
  6. When done, hit Save

Light gray font color on light gray or white background is very hard to read. Please work on this so our eyesight doesn't continue to have to strain.
