Buy nowHi all, non-QuickBooks power user here. I'm helping some relatives out with changing out one of their Windows 8.1 desktops that's on it's last legs, but it also runs QuickBooks POS 2013 Pro. I wanted to avoid additional deltas besides an OS change, but couldn't find anything documented online regarding whether their existing software was support on Windows 10. In addition, they don't have any of their original installation media.
Is the 2013 version supported on Windows 10? If so, any idea's on where to find installation media? I started planning for just moving to the current version, but figured it was worth a shot to check for an alternative route.
Thanks all.
No solid references but I'm not sure QBD POS 13.0 supports Win 10. You should purchase new licenses for your machines running on Win 10. You can also purchase the license from partners to get discounts.
Hello, 12itch.
Thank you for reaching out to the Community. Outdated versions of QuickBooks have different system requirements than the recent supported editions. For customers on QuickBooks Point of Sale 2013 and earlier, it is recommended that you upgrade to QuickBooks Point of Sale Desktop 12.0 if your preferred operating system is Windows 10.

Thanks for the speedy reply, yeah I think if the use cases isn't documented anywhere easily accessible - it's probably a dead end. New license is probably only way to go seems like.
Hi Ailene, thanks for the speedy reply. When purchasing a new license, what kind of training support is available? I'm sure the jump from 2013 to current version will look drastically different.
They don't offer any training service. Consider purchasing training sessions locally from a partner.

Hi Zach:
Is the experience between 2013 and the current version vastly different? I need to account for software training with this update.

QuickBooks POS is no longer available for purchase. Existing users may still be able to use the program, but Intuit will no longer support this product.
The good news is that several Point of Sale solutions are available in the marketplace.
