Quickbooks Pro 2020 runs as 32-bit application

Let me share with you some information about QuickBooks Desktop and its system requirements. 

All versions of QuickBooks are 32 bit. However, you can install QuickBooks on a 64 bit computer. The QBW32 is the executable file of QuickBooks Desktop and it cannot be changed.

To get the best experience in QuickBooks Desktop here’s helpful info about the operating system requirements to run QuickBooks Desktop. 

• Windows 10, all editions including 64-bit, natively installed
• Windows 8.1 (Update 1), all editions including 64-bit, natively installed
• Windows Server 2019, and EssentialsWindows Server 2016, and Essentials
• Windows Server 2012 R2, and Essentials
• Windows Server 2012, and Essentials
• Windows Small Business Server 2011, Standard and Essentials

So if I understand what you are saying correctly, Intuit is behind in releasing a 64-bit version of QuickBooks Desktop. When will you be releasing a 64-bit version of that product for Windows?

You can install QuickBooks in a 64 bit computer however, it may not be compatible with the Windows version you have. Also, it needs to be natively installed to work well. You can check out the system requirements for installing QuickBooks Desktop in a 64 bit computer provided by my colleague. 

We don't have a time-frame yet as to when the compatibility of your 64 bit computer into the Windows version that works well with QuickBooks Desktop Pro be available. 1. Open QuickBooks company file.
2. Click Help and select QuickBooks Desktop Help. 
3. Enter a brief description of your question on when 64-bit be available. 
4. Click Continue and select a ways on how you'll want to connect with us. It can be through Call, Chat, or Get a callback.
