You can create a CSV file of your products and services in Excel. You can use the sample file that'll you how to format your spread so it imports correctly. Here's how to download the sample file and formatting tips:
- Inside QuickBooks, go to the Gear ⚙ icon.
- Select Import Data.
- Click on Download a sample file and open the file.
These are the following formatting tips:
- Product/Service Name: 100 character limit. Avoid special characters.
- Quantity as-of Date: Format like this: MM/DD/YYYY or DD/MM/YYYY
- Income and Expense account: You can't use sub-accounts.
