Quickbooks still not working with Mac Big Sur

Currently, the supported versions are QuickBooks Desktop for Mac 2021 and 2020. Our product engineers are diligently working to provide an update for 2019. There's no exact date for the release yet, but we'll let you know via email.

This is really effecting my business. Seems like I have to buy your newest product to not get further behind in my accounting. Are you offering assistance or discounts for those who need to buy a newer year in order to be up and running due to this issue? Also, I use the desktop application and since it won't open at all I am not sure what the best way is to get the newer version and keep all of my past data. Please let me know how you can help. You can launch without opening your company file by holding down the option key. Then, double click on the QuickBooks application icon. Once done, you'll see any available updates. Make sure to apply the latest one. 

Another way that you can do this is by downloading the latest version of QuickBooks. Here's how:

1. Go to this link: https://downloads.quickbooks.com/app/qbdt/products.
2. Choose your region, product, and version.
3. Click Search.
4. Then, Get the latest updates.

Are you using QBD Mac 2019? As far as I know, company has released the patch for it last week to support BigSur. Make sure to update your QBD.

Has this been resolved?

I have not upgraded to Big Sur yet because I don't want QuickBooks 2019 to stop working.

My system updated to Big Sur.   QuickBooks 2019 is acting weird with Big Sur.  I found I can't go back and I'm not buying a new Mac.  I do not have a HOMEPAGE.  I get a HOW TO USE QUICKBOOKS screen.  I have found a few workarounds.  It's irritating.  My spouse and I spent an hour on the phone with tech support.  Somebody should teach them about Big Sur and QB2019.  They kept telling be that QB2021 would work but not on BIG SUR????.  WTF?  We did all the updates now and it still won't give me a HOMEPAGE.  This is mediocre.  Intuit doesn't have tax software for Macs.  I had to go to TaxAct to do our company taxes.  Does QB2021 work on Big Sur or not?  Can anyone answer this question?  Apparently tech support can't.  Useless.

With this version, you should be able to work seamlessly with Big Sur without any unusual experiences. In your case, we can start by confirming if your version meets the system requirements. If not, I recommend updating your QuickBooks to fix the issue. Here's how: 

1. Open your QBDT for Mac file.

I am not able to install QB Desktop for Mac 2019 on my MAC that is running Big Sur.  I get a warning that this is malicious software.  Therefore, I am not able to get the latest updates to QB.  Any suggestions on where to go from here? So frustrating!!

Please advice.

The message indicates that macOS BigSur doesn't see the software as signed and/or notarized.  These processes insure that the software is from the correct developer (Intuit in our case).  My guess is that you have an older version of QuickBooks Mac 2019.  Try downloading and installing the latest version from here:
