Adding multiple square accounts to qbo

Is possible to add more than one square account to a QuickBooks account? I have a client that has three separate square accounts and has been successful in only connecting one. I cannot figure how to connect the other two if it is in fact possible.

Hi there, @livingproofbk.

Currently, Square can only sync with one QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. Also, once Square is connected and downloaded transactions, you're unable to import them to any other QuickBooks Online account.

For more details on how to sync Square accounts, you can check this article: Sync Square with QuickBooks Online. It includes how to update settings in Square.

Also, you can visit this page to get answers for frequently asked questions: QuickBooks Online and Square Integration.

This is unfortunate. I run a cinema and do photography. I have two seperate square accounts. Why would I only want t add one to my quickbooks? I'll have to look elsewhere for accounting software

@photograzi

You need to have a 3rd party paid app to connect more than one Square accounts.

Hi,

I also have multiple square accounts to differentiate sales in different states.  What 3rd party app could make this work ?

TIA

Hello there, SurfandSlide.

I can see you're looking for a specific application that suits your needs. We're unable to recommend a third-party application, but I can walk you through where you can find one. We can find an application on our website. They all work best with QuickBooks Online. Here's how:

  1. Go to this link: QuickBooks App Store.
  2. Select your region.
  3. Search for an app that may suit your business needs.

Feel free to visit these articles for tips and information about handling bank transactions and incomes:

Other users might also recommend a third-party application in this thread. Make sure to review the app.

As always, you can post another one below if you have concerns while searching for an application and any questions related to QuickBooks. Take care.

Is there any plans to be able to add 2? We have 2 accounts in QBO so having our 2 Square accounts would be ideal. Is this coming in the future anytime? If not any work arounds?

Thank you for checking in on this thread, jamilcf.

I understand the significance of having two Square accounts in QuickBooks Online. However, this option unavailable in the program. We can only sync one Square account at a time.

While this feature isn’t in our development roadmap right now, we are working on big improvements that will be helpful for the majority of our customers, and you’ll see those rolling out soon through our QuickBooks Blog.

While it is unavailable, I recommend providing feedback through your QuickBooks Online (QBO) account. This way, it goes to our product developers to help improve your program experience.

I'd also recommend that you sign up for our Newsletter. This way, you'll receive email updates about new product changes, including hopefully this feature.

Here's how to register to our Newsletter:

  1. On your QuickBooks Online account, click the User icon at the upper right corner and select Manage your Intuit Account.
  2. Tap Data & Privacy in the left panel.
  3. Select QuickBooks.
  4. Turn on QuickBooks Newsletter.

If you need assistance with editing, assigning, or categorizing your transactions, please see this article: Categorize and match online bank transactions in QuickBooks Online. This will assist us in ensuring the accuracy of your financial records.

If I can be of help while working in QuickBooks, please let me know. I'm always here to keep helping. Have a good one!

Dear rose-A,

these unhelpful semi-automated AI type answers do not help any of us.  What would be helpful is it you offered a work around.  For example, a book keeper taught me to use an invoice workflow method that works in place of importing square transactions.

quickbooks online in general, is a mess. It’s expensive, overly complicated and you basically need to be a bookeeper to use it for all but the most simple businesses. Can’t wait to find something else !

 If not any work arounds?

Explore the connector as I mentioned earlier.

As an additional option, use a backup restore app before connecting the apps.
