I have recently started testing the use of advanced pricing, specifically the qty discounts. I have found a bug related to the "new price" field under the qty discounts options. We sell MANY items at less than $0.01 and when orders are placed at certain qty such as 5,000 pcs or 25,000 pcs or 100,000 pcs we give a discount. When trying to setup discounts the new price field does not display more than 2 decimal places and rounds the results of the discounts, which is a bug. The sales price field allows for up to 4 decimal places while new price gets rounded and only shows 2 decimal places. These two fields should be treated exactly the same...meaning new price should be exactly like sales price. On invoices the unit price pulls from sales price and new price. Sales price is pulled exactly as it's been entered on the item for each line in the invoice. When the qty discount new price is used to populate the invoice it should not be pre-rounded and have more than 2 decimal places.
This appears to be a long standing issue going way back. This needs to be classified as a bug and not a request for enhancement. Qty discounts "new price" should behave exactly like the "sale price" clearly. The system has zero issues with my overriding the unit price with 4 decimal places. Fixing this bug will go a long way with MANY customers.
We recognize the importance of having the sales new price field accommodate up to four decimal places, @kcarpent40. With that, let's send a product report to our engineering team to notify them.

Thanks for the reply, SheandL albeit the normal canned one. I've already sent a feedback submission which is useless and goes nowhere. What I'd like to be able to do is open an actual support ticket for this bug as a paying customer, not a suggestion for enhancement. I don't want an enhancement for a bug.
What needs to be told to the "engineering team" is that if you allow sales price to be 4 decimals with no rounding then you should also have new price the same way as it replaces the sales price on invoices. This is a simple fix.
@SheandL Okay, from the top.

This is straight out of a sitcom.
It is funny how a $180B+ company with almost 19,000 employees doesn't have a proper support channel. A lot of these issues can be easily resolved if they actually made it to the right internal group of people. In the end this will go nowhere and I'm really just wasting my time with it all. We've been using QB for decades and we're starting to look elsewhere because they won't fix anything important, even if it comes from 3/4 of their users.
Two weeks now, what's the word from the "engineering team"? Can one or two of the 19,000 people working there figure out how to change the field values on the DB for "new price"?
Still waiting with anticipation...
