All Transactions Processed Last Week Are Not Showing in QB!!!!

Okay QB Community...this is a real conundrum. I currently have QB Desktop Enterprise Solutions: Contractor 24.0

  • On 6-12-2024 I processed our payroll for pay perios 03-09 June, sent to Intuit and all employees were paid accordingly.
  • On 6-13-2024 I paid various vendor invoices.
  • On 6-14-2024 I did a company backup because I was going to uninstall and reinstall QB due to possible errors.
  • On Monday 6-17-2024 I did the uninstall and reinstall of my QB.
  • I noticed that QB said I needed to process payroll for the pay period of 03-09 June?!?!  However all the employees confirmed they had received their direct deposits (I do not use QB direct deposit).
  • I called QB and told QB didn't record the payroll information and I had to "simply" recreate it.
  • Today I realized no transactions I processed from June 12th, 13th & 14th were not recorded in QB.

What in the world would cause this?  ANY INFORMATION IS GREATLY APPRECIATED!

Thank you!

All Transactions Processed Last Week Are Not Showing in QB!!!!

Hello, @LisaC2023.

Thank you for reaching out to here in the Community to address your concern about the overdue status of your payroll center tab. I would like to provide you with some information on why this issue occurred and how it can be resolved.

The reason why the Payroll Center tab is displaying an overdue status is that the create paychecks status is not updated or synced to reflect the current payroll status. To avoid creating duplicate paychecks, I suggest updating your payroll schedule.

To update your payroll schedule, follow these steps:

  1. Go to the Employees menu located at the top of QuickBooks Desktop.
  2. Select the Payroll Center option.
  3. Highlight the specific payroll schedule in the Pay Employees tab.
  4. Click the Payroll Schedules drop-down arrow and choose Edit Schedule.
  5. Update the pay period end and paycheck dates to a future date.
  6. Click OK to save changes.

In addition, I have included some links below for your future reference regarding filing tax forms and payments in QuickBooks Desktop Payroll:

If you have any additional questions regarding managing your payroll schedules, please do not hesitate to ask. I will be happy to assist you further.

All Transactions Processed Last Week Are Not Showing in QB!!!!

I see how this situation has affected you and your business, kelper. We can work it out together to make sure the missing transaction reappears.

Before we begin, ensure that you have opened the correct company file. The transactions from that specific date might be missing for this reason.

Once confirmed that you have selected the correct company file, let's use the verify and rebuild data tool. It helps identify and resolve common issues in your company file that are causing the transaction not to show up.

To begin, here's how to verify your company data:

  1. Proceed to the Window tab, then Close All
  2. Click on File and select Utilities.
  3. Choose Verify Data. Hit OK

After that, follow these steps to rebuild your company data:

  1. Go to the File menu, then choose Utilities.
  2. Select Rebuild Data. QuickBooks will prompt you to do a backup before rebuilding your company file. Pick OK.
  3. Save your backup, and OK
  4. When the Rebuild has completed message appears, hit OK

Moreover, you can visit our Help pages. It contains detailed articles that provide comprehensive instructions and guidelines on managing QuickBooks Desktop more efficiently.

Once you've gone through these steps, the missing transactions should reappear in their correct place. If you need further assistance, feel free to reach out. I'm always here to help, kelper.

Thank you for the reply and instructions.  However it did not correct the problem.  I have resigned to the fact that I will have to recreate all the missing transactions (invoices, deposits & invoices paid) for the period.

Regardless I truly appreciate you taking the time to respond.

Enjoy your weekend...

The payroll that was processed and paid via our QB desktop payroll subscription for 5/312024 is in the register, but the payroll center tab is saying the 5/31 payroll is overdue. How do you clear this? I don't want to resend that payroll and pay it twice.
