Ant connect to the bank

Let's troubleshoot this together and ensure you can connect your bank account, Sanchez.

To start, please note that there are several possible reasons why you might be unable to link your bank account:

  1. Your bank may not be a participating institution.
  2. Your bank might not support specific types of accounts (for example, personal accounts versus business accounts).
  3. The bank could be undergoing system maintenance.

With that, could you please share the name of the bank you are trying to connect to? Also, did you encounter any error messages when attempting to link your bank account? Providing this information will help us offer a more tailored solution.

To confirm whether your bank can be connected to QBO or if there's an ongoing issue preventing your bank from being connected, please check your bank's website or reach out to their support.

If your bank is supported and there's no ongoing maintenance, I recommend contacting our phone support. They have the necessary tools and expertise to investigate the cause of this issue further.

In the meantime, let's manually upload your transaction to ensure you have the most up-to-date bank data in QuickBooks.

Here's how:

  1. Navigate to the Transactions menu, then select Bank Transactions.
  2. Click the New Transaction dropdown menu, and choose Upload Bank Statement.

  3. Choose either Drag and Drop or Select Files, then pick the file you’ve downloaded from your bank, and click Continue.
  4. From the QuickBooks account dropdown, select the account you want to upload the transactions to, and click Continue.
  5. Align the columns in the file with the appropriate fields in QuickBooks, then click Continue.
  6. Select the transactions you want to import, then click Continue.
  7. Click Yes, then Done.

Once you've downloaded all your bank transactions, you'll need to categorize them to allocate them to the correct account. You can also set up bank rules to automatically categorize your transactions. For your reference, here are some helpful articles:
