<deleted> Getting incorrect response for Quickbooks Desktop Pro 2021.
Thanks for checking in with us, daxd.
I'd be glad to point you to where you can look for a third-party application that allows you to track inventory in estimates for QuickBooks Desktop.
While we're unable to suggest what application to use, you'll want to search for a third-party app that integrates with your desktop version. Here's how:
The system displays the list of applications available that match the description you entered and are compatible, and designed to work with QuickBooks Desktop. Once you find the right app, click to open it.
I'll be sharing with you these resources. These will provide you details on how inventory works in QuickBooks Desktop as well as tips on track them on different sites or locations:
Take control with Advanced Inventory.
Please know that I'm only a few clicks away if you have any follow-up questions. Take care and have a good one.
It sounds like you're treating Estimates as a sale, or close to it.
In this case, when an Estimate is basically a sale, if you create a Sales Order from the Estimate, then the reporting may work for you. The Sales Order will work much as you are requesting the Estimate to work regarding inventory, if you set the preference to make that happen.
To do this, go to Edit | Preferences | Inventory | Company Preferences and check the box Quantity on Sales Orders.
Then run the Inventory Stock Status by Item report, which will show the quantity On Hand, On Sales Orders, and the net Available.
Pro 2021 - thanks (I have usd QB Desktop since 2000)
<updated see new post>
Actually your suggestion may work - unfortunately -
Quickbooks Pro doesn't have Sales Orders. I JUST bought 2021 QB Pro with an additional License ($400 + $250 extra) Looks like Premier and Enterprise. With Premier are you capped at 14,500 customers as well?
Can you turn Sales Orders into Invoices just like you can turn Estimates into Invoices? Can you turn Estimates into Sales Orders and then turn them into Invoices?
Are Sales Orders figured into Revenue numbers/accounting? I can't have them affect accounting until they are an invoice.
Thank you for your answer - this may work if you can help me answer above?

Thank you for your response. Unfortunately your response doesn't address what I need. Your post is telling me how to search through the apps. I know *how* to search through apps. I need to find an app that specifically shows inventory on hand and what inventory is promised (on estimates) I need to run inventory reports showing ALL item numbers at once (not individual item numbers at a time)
I have gone through the app listing thoroughly looking for this and I have contacted many.
I posted to find a specific app that does what I need.
May I get you to delete your response since it didn't address what I needed? Then people will see my question wasn't answered and hopefully answer with app suggestions to try or to contact.
Thanks
Desktop Pro 2021. Thanks!!

Advanced Inventory does not work with Quickbooks Desktop Pro as above states - unfortunately.
Thanks for getting back here, daxd.
For now, the Advanced Inventory option is only available in QuickBooks Desktop Enterprise. You'll want to upgrade your plan to use the feature.
I'm adding this article for more details: Upgrade to QuickBooks Enterprise from Desktop Pro/Premier.
Furthermore, QuickBooks integrates with over 650 popular business apps. Therefore, we're unable to recommend one. You can search for a keyword, and you'll see all the related apps that can be integrated in the program.
You can search for the third-party application here.
You're always welcome to reply on this thread and we'll be right here to provide a solution. Keep safe.
You need a 3rd party inventory management app to integrate with your QB Desktop Pro or Premier. It offers the Sales Order feature, multi warehouse feature, and other perks. Send your business email address in a private message to us and we will introduce you directly to the app developer.
Please post the name of the app/developer here. Thank you.
Hi! Can you tell me the app that has Sales Orders for Quickbooks Pro 2021? So I can count inventory on Sales Orders?
