Can I pin a reoccurring Sales Receipt in my templates to the dashboard with the new update dashboard version of QBO?

QuickBooks Online (QBO) doesn't allow you to pin recurring templates directly, but you can select a favorite template to display it on your Dashboard.

The Dashboard primarily displays widgets that provide an overview of your financials, including Accounting, Sales, and Expenses. Although you can't directly pin recurring Sales Receipt templates, you can easily access and manage them via Choose your favorite shortcuts.

Here's how to do it:

  1. From the Dashboard, click Customize now beside Choose your favorite shortcuts.
  2. You can select up to ten of your favorites for easy access on your dashboard.
  3. Click Save.

I'm adding this article to personalize your sales transactions and add details that matter to you: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

If you have any further questions, please feel free to leave them in the comments, and we'll assist you promptly.

I think that only adds the ability to access the recurring Sales Receipt option. It does not add the template to the favorites, ir am I missing something?

Thanks for getting back to us, 89720624.

You're right. Adding the Recurring sales receipt to your favorites does not include the existing template itself, but rather a link to create a new transaction. I understand how having the actual template in your favorites would be more convenient for quicker access.

For this, I highly recommend sharing your thoughts directly with our product engineers. Customer insights play a key role in shaping future improvements and new features in QuickBooks Online (QBO).
