I am trying to delete two invoices and two payments from my company file in qbo plus (jpg attached).
However, qb is telling me that I can't because each transaction is linked to a deleted project.
I can't switch them to the active projects either.
Any help would be appreciated.

Hey there, @tamimd67,
It's nice to see you here today. I can share some updates about the error: "This transaction is linked to a deleted project: It can't be deleted or modified." you're getting in QuickBooks Online.
Our engineers currently tagged this an ongoing issue with QuickBooks Online and our engineers are diligently working to roll out a fix for this unexpected behavior. While they're investigating on what's causing the hitch, I'd recommend getting in touch with our QuickBooks Online Care team to be added to the list of affected users.

That should connect you to our live support agents. You can have them add you to the investigation number INV-25904.
Please feel free to contact me anytime. I am here to help you should you need further assistance with QuickBooks. Wishing you a great and productive week!
Thank you for your help. Unfortunately, it appears that I have other problems as well. Customer service is telling me that my quickbooks file is corrupted and that fixing the issue is not covered by my subscription plan. Unfortunately, the explanation is too technical for me to understand . . . something about outside domains having access???? It appears that I either have to go without QB Online Plus for 90 days, then re-subscribe, or switch to a new software. I am very sad.
Thanks for getting back to us, tamimd67.

RoseMarjorieA and Jen_D,
Thank you so much for the update on the ongoing issue with Quickbooks Online Plus that results in the error: "This transaction is linked to a deleted project: It can't be deleted or modified." I know that it is a new feature and the behavior simply didn’t fit with the performance I normally experience with Quickbooks.
Regarding the more devastating issue that I discovered…I will tell you what I know…and I apologize for the length of the explanation. I do not understand all of the technical aspects, so I do not know what is relevant and what is not.
RoseMarjorieA, you asked if I could confirm what specific error I encountered that resulted in a corrupted file. The strangeness of the issue starts there. Until I had the issue with the new projects feature, I had absolutely ZERO issues with my file. I contacted support in an attempt to solve the issue with the projects feature.
Before that issue was addressed (in fact that issue was never addressed), they told me that they had to “check to make sure the requested changes could be made to my file” as they always do. I was then told that my file was 74% corrupted (which was surprising to me because I was having no issues with it), due to js.stripe and two unnamed domains having access to my file and causing corruption. I was not aware of any issues with the company file, as QBO does not provide a utility for me to monitor that. I was told that since my file had gone beyond 80% corrupted, that there were no free options open to me to have the file data recovered (I have attached the options provided to me below).
I continued asking questions because I did not understand all of the technical information that Ishfaq Bhat [removed], ext. 29) provided. He provided a copy of a scan (which he said was provided by another department) that showed the errors that my file was experiencing (shown below). I explained that since the QBO software program and my data file did not reside on my computer, I did not only not understand his explanation but did not see how I could be responsible for the corruption.
If I understood him correctly, my file was now going to be quarantined for 90 days, at which time I could start completely over with entering my data to create a new company file with my existing email address, same credit card for my subscription payments, and my physical address. I believe this would apply to another QBO account or one for a desktop version of the software. Additionally, I couldn’t understand his technical explanation of why it would be so long.
I tried to explain how a 90-day outage followed by re-entry of all of our data would have a devastating effect on our business, and that we could barely afford $60 per month, much less $1k in support. Confused and upset, and not feeling like I had enough information to make any decisions, I ended the call.
Later yesterday, my husband called. I hoped that he would understand some of the technical explanations that I did not. He did not have any better luck than I did, and what he did understand didn’t make any sense to us: how this was our fault, how we could have known sooner and acted to prevent it, and why it would take so long to get up and running again (assuming that we were willing to reinput all data). At this point, he was told by Ishfaq that if we emailed support at intuit.us with all of the relevant data, that they would be able to wipe out our account and allow us to establish a new one quickly with my existing email address, same credit card for my subscription payments, and my physical address.
I am hesitant to do this for several reasons: I don’t understand the issue, I don’t see how any of this is due to my actions or that I was provided with any oversight to know that the issue was worsening or existed at all, and I don’t know if it will happen again (in which case all of my work re-entering data and money paid for my continuing subscription for QBO Plus would be wasted).
I can email support at intuit.us, but I don’t know if that will get me the results that I want, and it may take me a week to find out with our business’s busy season beginning. I hope that you can provide me with some direction as to how to proceed.
Thanks again for your quick responses and helpfulness.

I can help you delete the payments linked to the deposits, MFK11.
We need to delete the payments link to the deposit in the register. Then, open the payment transaction in the Select the payments included in this deposit section to delete it.
For the steps and details, please follow the instructions below:
Once done, the payments on the deposit will go back to the Bank Deposit window. This way, you have the option to delete payments there. Just follow Step 8 and Step 9 to delete them.

Hi @JK2277,
Thank you for the screenshot you included. I'll walk you through how you can delete an invoice that's linked to a deleted project.
You'll need to reactivate the project in question first.
Here's how:
At this point, you can proceed to delete the invoice you no longer need. When done, you can delete the same project as well, if you don't need it.
If you have other questions about the Project feature, see this article: Projects FAQ. Common questions about this feature are listed, along with their answers.
Feel free to post a question if you have other concerns. I'll be sure to take care of them for you.
I followed these instructions but the project that was deleted (that has a transaction associated to it that I can't delete) is NOT in this list!
What do I do?
Ayo
I'm here to ensure you're able to restore the project so you can delete the associated transaction to it, AyoMoon.
When a browser stored a lot of caches, it could cause problems like bringing up the data to your account or latency issues. As an initial step, you can press the F5 key on your keyboard to refresh the page.
If you're still getting the same result, we can do some of the basic troubleshooting steps. You can use these shortcut keys depending on the browser you're using:
Once signed in, go back to your deleted projects and see if it's on the lists. If you're able to restore it from there, clear the browser's cache. Clearing the history or log of sites resolves most issues with the web pages.
