Costumer Information

Good day, @Maid LIz.

Welcome, and thanks for dropping by the Community. I can share details about updating customer information in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Yes, you can import them again without deleting the existing customers. The system will recognize the existing ones on your lists. All you need to do is to override them by clicking the box below the import screen.

I've attached a screenshot below for your reference.

Thanks for getting back to us, @Maid LIz.

I have some information about the overwrite option. This option is unavailable in some data menu (other users have this option when importing products and services).

You may want to access your account using a private browser or an incognito window. This way, we can check if it has something to do with the browser you're using or not. Here's how to do it:

  • Press Ctrl Shift (Google Chrome).
  • Ctrl Shift (Firefox).
  • Control Option (Safari).

After that, try importing again. If you're able to overwrite, go back to your regular browser and clear your browser's cache. This process, help fixes unusual behavior of the program.

If you're getting the same result, you'll want to update each customer's info manually.

For more details about importing process, refer to @FritzF's articles above.

Please let me know how it goes as I wanted to ensure this is resolved for you. Take care and have a great day ahead.
