I have Quickbooks Point of Sale desktop Pro 12. We have had several customers that have died how do we make these customer inactive like you can do in Quickbooks. Dont know if it can be done but i am hoping it can be. I dont want to delete the customer just in case i have to go back in a year to see what they bought. Thank you for the help.

This time, the option to make the customers inactive is unavailable. I’d recommend sending feedback to our Product Development Team. Let's share with them that you didn't want to delete them since you'll have to check their sales history in the previous years.
By doing so, your feedback helps our engineers prioritize what to do next. They’ll also make ways to use this for future updates.

In POS, there is no capability to inactivate customers, vendors, or items.
Surely by now, 3 years later, the product team has come up with a solution!! It's a slight nuisance when an employee erroneously records a sale to an inactive account and then has to be reversed and then re-recorded when the customer has already left the building and is required to sign the receipt. Please find a solution soon!!
