data migration from reckon hosted to quickbooks online

We are about to get our data migrated from reckon hosted to quickbooks online via QB partner MMC Convert however we are unsure if we need to set up anything in the new QB file (not yet used) ie classes etc before the conversion or does that all come across with the migration

Thanks for choosing QuickBooks Online (QBO), CB125. I'll explain the data migration process so you can effectively convert and establish your company file.

Based on your concern, it seems that you're using QBO Australia. There are a few things you need to complete before starting to migrate your data from Reckon hosted to QuickBooks via a migrator tool (MMC Convert).

For smooth data conversion, don't set up anything (for example, classes) yet in your new QBO file. Your QuickBooks account should be clear, and no existing transactions. To guide you through the procedure, please see this article: Move your data to QuickBooks Online.

To learn more about moving your company file to QuickBooks using MMC Convert, you can check out this article: Frequently Asked Questions about bringing your data to QuickBooks Online.

Feel free to reply to this post if there's anything else you need to migrate your data in QBO. I'll always be around whenever you require additional help. Keep safe, and have a good one!
