Date Format to spell out Day of the Week

How can I spell out the day of the week on the SHIP DATE field? Is there a way to change the format to something like Friday, August 7, 2020... or something similar.

Date Format to spell out Day of the Week

Hi TEGv.

You absolutely can customize the format of the Ship Date. Follow these steps below:

If you're referring to these fields, you can change their names by going to the Additional Customization window of the invoice template. Let me guide you how.

  1. Go to Lists from the top menu.
  2. Select Templates
  3. Locate the invoice template and double-click it to open the Basic Customization window.
  4. Click Additional Customization from the bottom menu.
  5. In the Title column, enter the new names on the Ship ToShip Date, and Ship Via fields.
  6. Make sure to check the Screen and Print boxes of these fields.
  7. Click OK

The screenshot below shows you the last three steps.

Once done, you'll be able to view the new names on their respective fields on the Invoice screen as seen in the screenshot below.

You can visit this website:Form Templates Overview. This link provides you steps on how to customize, duplicate, export, and import templates.

If there's anything else I can help with, I'm just a few clicks away. Thanks for your time and have a nice evening.

Date Format to spell out Day of the Week

Thank you, but that does not answer my question unfortunately.

Maybe I was not clear enough.

I want that when I pick up a date when writing a Sales Order (or invoice), at the time to print the Invoice or Sales order, the date is printed something similar to

Friday, August 7

Friday, August 7, 2020

Friday 08/06.

In other words, I need the DAY OF THE WEEK spelled out.

Thank you!

Date Format to spell out Day of the Week

You’re most welcome, @TEGv.

Currently, there isn't a way to spell out the day of the week on the Ship Date field.

I know how convenient this option for you and your business. We always value customers who are keen to give us their feedback. I’ll be sure to pass on what you have shared in this thread to our management team. This way, they could come up with the best method to enhance other features and functionality for the Desktop version.

You can add a custom field to your sales forms as a workaround. So the day of the week will also be included. However, you’ll need to enter them manually in the system. I’ll show the steps.

  1. Go to the Customers menu.
  2. Select Create Sales Orders or Create Invoices.
  3. Click Formatting at the top, then select Customize Data Layout.
  4. Under the Additional Customization page, mark Other in the column.
  5. You can name it "Day of the week."
  6. Click OK.

Customizing template helps tailored the content of the form. In case you want to modify other details on the page, just visit this article for reference:  Use and customize form templates.

I'll be here anytime if you have other queries. Just leave me a message below. Always take care.
