But I’ve never used online QuickBooks I’ve always use the desktop version only is anybody else having this issue
I want to isolate this as quickly as possible so you can get back where you left off, @TerriIlynn1116.
I have a few troubleshooting steps below to ensure your QuickBooks will run smoothly.
You don't need to pay $1000 to get QuickBooks Accountant Desktop updated. You'll just need to update your software version manually to have the latest features and fixes. Before that, ensure that your computer meets the systems requirements.
Once confirmed, follow the steps below:
For more details, see this link: Update QuickBooks Desktop to the latest release.
If the issue persists, I'd recommend running the QuickBooks Tool Hub. This program fixes common file errors and repairs data integrity issues. For complete steps, click this article: Solutions for when QuickBooks has stopped working.
I've also added this reference you can read for further guidance: Use the Accountant's Copy.
I'm just a post away if you have any other concerns or additional questions. Stay safe and have a great rest of the day, TerriIlynn.

Which number did you call?
Are you able to open a new file or the sample one without any issue?
