Do credit card payments appear on the customers statement as Quickbooks or our business name?

Hi there, @mmpike!

Let me share a few insights about creating a statement.

In QuickBooks, a statement shows all transactions by their type such as invoices, sales receipts, or payments.

Even if you've received a credit card payments, it will show as a Payment not as QuickBooks or as your business name.

I've attached an article you can read to learn more about statements: How to Create and Manage Statements?

Here's an article you can read for future reference: Create a Recurring Credit Card Payment.

I would like the answer to this question.  The answer posted is about a different topic.   On my customer's statement from their credit card company, how is my business name listed and where can I control that?

Hello, sandyme.

I can provide you with some information about how QuickBooks listed in your customer's statement.

If you're referring when sending the customer's statement, it will show the Intuit's name and not your business or company name. Since you're processing the customer's statement via QuickBooks Online and not directly in your business email address.

Hello, the solutions you've provided don't have any information on how to change the name listed on the customer's credit card statement. We need to control this to avoid chargebacks from unrecognized charges that the customer cannot figure out whom the charge was from.

Can you please provide more specific information? thanks

Thanks for posting to the Community, @wvdn.

I can see how you wanted to know how to change the name recorded in your customer's bank/credit card statement.

Since this is a public forum and is something to do internally with your QuickBooks payments account, I'd recommend contacting our Payments Support Team. They have tools to pull up your account in a secure environment, and they might have tools that can change the name that will appear on the customer's credit card statement.

Here's how to reach them: Contact Payments Support.

Also, you can search for deposits or fees in the Merchant Service Center to print customer transaction information such as deposits and fees.

Please let me know if you have more questions in mind. I'll keep my eyes on your reply. Take care and more power to your business!
