Editing the Email Invoice template on Mac

Is there any way to edit the header part of the email and estimate template on a Mac QB latest version. As you can see by the attached file, my company logo is really small, and it looks silly, I want that be to much bigger.

It's especially bad the you're a design agency!

Yes, you can layout your header to your preferred size, CitizenBB.

In the Layout Designer window, you can modify and resize the invoice's content especially your logo. Please follow these steps to do so:

  1. Go to the Lists menu and then select Templates.
  2. In the Templates window, double-click the invoice form you'll want to edit.
  3. A window will appear where you can customize the form.
  4. At the bottom part of the page, click on the Layout Designer button.
  5. If your header (logo) is:

         •  Text - double-click the text to open the Properties window and click Font where you can increase its size then OK.
         •  Image - you can resize it (indicated with a resize cursor).

  6. If you're done making the changes you can save it by clicking OK to every opened winow.

To verify the changes made, you can try sending an email to yourself using the customized invoice template.

You can also refer to this article for more information on how to use and customize form templates.

Let me know if you need further assistance. I'd be glad to help!

Editing the Email Invoice template on Mac

For Mac you can access the Layout Designer by opening up the form you want to change.  In the area where you see the icons to email, print etc,  you will also see a the name of the template you are using, ie: Standard Service Invoice.  Drop down that window and you will see an ability to edit the current template (should be second from the top).  That opens the Layout Designer where you can add the logo, crop it and make other changes.  I am new in using QB for Mac but from what I can see, the PC version has much more editing ability than Mac for this type of stuff.  Good Luck!

Editing the Email Invoice template on Mac

WHY is every response from QBP employees to questions about the Mac a copy-n-paste of the instructions for Windows? Do they even understand that they sell Mac products?

For anyone looking for an answer to a similar question, I have been unable to find/modify the default template (or an array of templates) on a MAC for the email message that goes out with the invoice (as opposed to this question, which appears to be more about the invoice itself). After banging my head for an hour, I concluded that only thing I can do in a reasonable amount of time is edit the message that pops up in the interstitial that appears when selecting "email as PDF", which will then remains the default message until the next time it's changed (apparently/I hope).

It's never felt like QBP really wanted the Mac business : \

@CitizenBB

Here is an article that may help you. It's specifically for the QuickBooks Desktop for Mac product.

Yes, but that doesn't help either; that's not where the template for the email itself resides (see my note above for the correct answer). If the documentation is going to be deficient, and the message boards are going to answer in generalities (that are largely OT), and the UI is poor, then the product is unusable. It shouldn't be a question of randomly banging on buttons until you find what you're looking for or break something.

The Mac has always been the red-headed stepchild of this product line.

Editing the Email Invoice template on Mac

The last time I edited said email popup template(when you click email invoice).  It saved what I added/edited to the general email and automatically used it everytime.  I found out after i emailed a few more people days later and they questions the email..... I have since just added text to the invoice as a line item to eliminate that issue.  I have not tried this recently.
