Entering PO# when making a sale?

Hello,

Just recently upgraded from POS 9.0 to 18.0. Is there a feature on 18.0 to add a unique PO# when making a sale?

On POS 9.0, there was a toolbar that popped up after selecting the customer. I don't know why POS 18.0 doesn't have the option to add a PO#. Please let me know if I am wrong.

Thank you.

Entering PO# when making a sale?

Yes, there is a feature in QuickBooks Point of Sale 18.0 where you can add a unique PO#, @tonysewf. I'm here to guide you how.

A purchase order helps you keep track of the orders you need to fulfill and whether they've been completed or not. Adding unique PO# lets you identify your purchases easier for the accounts payable process. With QuickBooks Point of Sale 18.0, you'll have to go directly to the Purchase Order icon or through the Purchasing menu. Here's how:

  1. Go to the Purchasing menu.
  2. Select Purchase Order.
  3. Enter a unique alphanumeric number in the PO # field.
  4. Select a vendor from the Vendor drop-down list.
  5. Enter all the necessary details.
  6. Click Save.
