I just tried to import my Chart of Accounts and failed, as there were too many errors, so I hit back, but now all I get in CofA is this message:
A browser-related issue might have caused the error when importing your Chart of Accounts, JoHarris.
Every time you access a website, regular browser stores cache files so the next time you visit it, the data will be retrieved faster. However, once these data are piled-up and not cleared regularly it can cause unexpected behavior with frequently visited sites such as QuickBooks Online.
We can try a few troubleshooting steps and get rid of the error and to seamlessly import your Chart of Accounts. First, log in to QuickBooks Online using a private browser and do the import process again. You can use these keyboard shortcuts to open one:
If you're able to do so without any errors, you can switch back to the regular browser and clear the cache. Using other browsers to import your lists can also isolate these kinds of issues.
Once you have your accounts in QuickBooks, you can check out this article that will help you manage your Chart of Accounts.
Keep me posted on how this works. I'll be around the corner to help you with it. You stay safe and have a great day!
Hi Catherine,
Thank you so much for your help! Unfortunately, I tried to import again in an incognito browser and it said it could only import 9 out of 249! I think it's not importing the ones that are already in there, or something, so I tried changing the name on a few of them, but that didn't work either, so maybe not. It still says there's an error and won't show me any of my accounts to change, even if I had the patience to go through each one separately (which I would now - it would be quicker than doing it this way!) I can't even see the 5/6 QBO undeletable accounts. There's nothing. Yet if I run a report they're all there. I'd really like to delete everything that's been imported so far and start again, but without them showing up in the CofA, I don't see how I can purge them or start afresh. Any ideas?
Thanks for getting back here, JoHarris.

Basically Quickbooks Enterprise should not have been launched.
Its a total disgrace how little works as it should.
I download my CHART OF ACCOUNTS FROM QBO INTO EXCEL/
I upload the exact same Excel file into Quickbooks Enterprise - following every single detail of every step of the Intuit advertised way to do this... and what happens??? 343 errors, 120 succeses
THEN - ASTONISHINGLY - it is not easy to delete the 120 successes so I can try again.. no I am stuck with thw 120 and told to delete them all ONE BY ONE.
This a total joke and a huge humiliation to me as I have promised getting this launched to my bosses - but how can I get it launched when QB advertise fake hope?
