Finding an Old Email Sent via QuickBoosk

Thank you for always routing here, @NameUser, whenever you need help navigating something in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT). No worries, once we also looked for the old email we sent to our Customers, Vendors, and Employees. Let us help you navigate where to find them.

If you're looking for the lists of emails you sent to your Customers.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Customers.
  2. Select Customer Center. Then, choose a customer.
  3. From the Customer Information form. Click the Sent Email tab, then all the previous emails you sent to your customer will show.

For Vendors:

  1.  Move your cursor to Vendors.
  2. Choose Vendor Center. After that, pick a vendor.
  3. The Vendor Information will show. Select the Sent Email below.

Employees:

  1. From the Employees tab, pick Employees Center.
  2. Select an Employee.
  3. Employee Information will show. Click the Sent Email.

Moreover, you can also visit this page to help you create and manage reports in QBDT: Reports in QBDT.

We're dedicated to supplying you with accurate answers here. Please feel free to reply when your situation calls for it. We're willing to help you find the answers to it. Thank you, and enjoy your day.

Thank you Bryan_M.

They are a vendor, but when I looked for the sent email no luck.  I followed your instructions.

To be clear, I ran a P&L (months ago), clicked email, and emailed it out. I copied and pasted in their email from my non-QB email, so I don't think QB recognized this person as a vendor.  More a random email.

Other ideas?  For non vendors/customers.  Again, sent email from a report.

Thank you.

Thank you, @NameUser, for getting back to us and providing more information about your concern. I'll provide some tips on how to retrieve the report you've emailed using a non-QuickBooks email address.

Currently, emails sent using email services other than QuickBooks cannot be retrieved or reviewed. If you sent a report using an email account other than QuickBooks, you can also access the sent items folder and get the necessary data there.

Additionally, you can BCC yourself on all emails to ensure that a copy ends up in your work inbox. A copy of any form your email will be sent to you and the additional recipient(s).

Please follow the steps I've outlined below:

  1. From the Edit menu, select Preferences.
  2. In the left panel and select Send Forms.
  3. Select the Company Preferences tab.
  4. Click OK.

If you get the copy and the recipient’s email address recorded is correct, then this should indicate emails you sent from QuickBooks were accurately processed.

Please refer to the following websites for more information about your options for keeping track of the emails and reports you've sent through the system:
