Buy nowIs there an option to format the message in emailed invoices? The format is currently text centered and the margins on the edge of the page are almost zero. So what my customer sees is:
Dear Customer,
We appreciate your business. Please find your invoice details here. Feel free to contact us if you have any questions.
Thank you!

We can work together to customize your invoice in QuickBooks Online (QBO), @Race-MX.
Let's go to the Custom form styles to edit the message as to how you'd want your customers to receive them. This way, you'll be able to add and edit how the invoice message your customer will receive.
Here's how:
If you set this customization as default, it will be used for your future invoices.
However, if you're currently on the Invoice page, you can find the Customize option located at the bottom of the page.
Additionally, you'll want to check this article that'll help on how to receive and record invoice payments in QuickBooks Online: Record invoice payments in QuickBooks Online.

Sorry I wasn't clear enough. The actual invoice is not the problem. When I send an invoice to a customer for payment the text in the email body that the customer receives is not formatted properly. The bottom of the email has free advertising for Quickbooks so maybe the customer doesn't blame me personally for poor formatting skills. How do fix this?
I understand how crucial and relevant invoice emails are in displaying the proper format when a customer receives them, Race-MX. But don't worry, we will work together to resolve this issue.
If you have customized your invoice template in QuickBooks Online, it's important to note that the system will rely only on the invoice template you have set up and configured. Any changes you make to the template will affect how your invoices appear to your customers.
Let's try using a default template to see if the problem persists. This will help you determine if the issue is with your customized template or something else.
However, if the problem continues, the web browser your customer uses to access QuickBooks Online could impact how the email body is displayed. To rule out any browser-related issues, try accessing QuickBooks Online using a private/incognito browser and clear your browser cache and cookies once it works. Here's how:
If the private/incognito browsing works, clear the browser's cache so the system can restart. Otherwise, switch to a different browser like Firefox, Google Chrome, or Safari. The one you are currently on may be having a temporary issue with QuickBooks, and using a new browser for the moment will allow you to get back to work.

I don't think you all are listening to the problem. The invoice I have is fine. I don't need to format or design or change the invoice. The problem is with the email that is sent to deliver the invoice. Changing the invoice does not change the format of the email template. I am viewing the email in the Mac Mail Client not in a browser. There appears to be some limited options to configure the email i.e. attaching a PDF or not but nothing that allows formatting the text in the email body. All I want to do is change the alignment for the font from centered to left.
I know this hasn't been an easy process for you, Race-MX.
I'm here to help you fix the alignment of the message on an emailed invoice from QuickBooks Online.
Ideally, the message for the customer should show exactly like the preview from the Email tab of your template. The system defaults the content alignment with the left margin, and a setting to change it is unavailable.
Since you're getting a center alignment, I recommend performing some troubleshooting steps. This way, we can isolate and figure out the cause of the problem.
For now, I recommend sending the invoice to a different email address. It'll help identify if the issue has something to do with the content viewing of your email.
If the problem persists, please give us a call. We can check the issue further and open an investigation if necessary. Our support for Plus, Essentials, and Simple Start is available from 6 AM - 6 PM PT (Monday - Friday) and 6 AM - 3 PM PT (Saturday). For Advanced, any time, any day.

I'm just a post away if you have any other questions about your emailed invoices or template configurations in QuickBooks. Take care.
Did you get this issue resolved? I was having the same issues and I think I figured it out. For me, it seems to be an issue with what I choose under "Design" for an invoice. Their "recommended template" is "Modern" or I can choose a template under "Other templates". Mine is named "standard." When I am using the "Modern" template, the body of the email is centered (which is annoying and ridiculous looking). However, when I switch to my "standard" template, the body of the email comes out left justified.
I appreciate you for bringing this to my attention, talbotaccounting.
I see that you don't like how the formatting of the email body for modern template and standard template display for your business. However, this is how QuickBooks displays when sending it out to your customers.
I recommend sending your feedback directly to our product engineers. They are always looking for ways to improve our platform and make it more user-friendly. Your input would be greatly appreciated. Here's how:
