Free Trial from Turbo Tax Not Working - QuickBooks Self Employed

I have the weirdest problem you've ever seen. I filed my taxed with Turbo Tax Self Employed, and that's supposed to come with a free 12 month subscription to Quickbooks Self Employed. When I try to login to QB SE, it redirects me to the UK site (I'm in the US, and my Intuit account info is set to US). On the UK site, it tells me I have to pay 6 pounds a month to use the service. I've contacted support at Turbo Tax and Quickbooks support, but nobody can seem to help me. Has anyone seen anything like this before?

Hello there, @JDub2389.

One possible reason that you have an account in QuickBooks Self-employed UK. To claim the complimentary QuickBooks Self-Employed, you can use this link: selfemployed.intuit.com/turbotax.

In the meantime, let’s start performing some troubleshooting steps to fix this. Issues such as this can be caused by some cache and temporary internet files stored in your browser.

We can start by logging into QuickBooks Self-Employed in a private window. Here’s how:

  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Internet Explorer)
  • Command + Shift + N (Safari)
  • Ctrl+ Shift + N (Google Chrome)
  • Ctrl + Shift + P (Mozilla Firefox)

If it works, clear your browser's cache to speed up the loading process of the QBSE website and for the system to start fresh.

Otherwise, you can use an incognito browser, don't use auto-fill when entering login credentials.

For additional help, feel free to reach out to our  QuickBooks Self-Employed Customer Care. They have the tools to check what's causing this and can initiate a screen sharing session to get to the resolution quickly.

To contact us, here's how:

  1. Sign in to your QuickBooks Self-Employed account.
  2. Click Assistant at the top right.
  3. Type talk to a human.
  4. Choose your preferred support method.

Let me know if you have additional questions. I'd be right here anytime.

Thanks for your help Grace! When I tried logging into selfemployed.intuit.com/turbotax, I was not able to log in. I put in my username and password, and the Sign In button briefly changed to “Signing in...” then it turned back to “Sign in.” I tried this in Chrome and Firefox with private browsing tabs. I also cleared my cache in both browsers, but it still gave me the same issue. Any other ideas what might be happening?

Thank you again for your help!
