Hi, I run a driving school, but have no idea how to input any data into quickbooks, I tried, but got it wrong, need to start from scratch, any help greatly appreciated

These next steps are only for QuickBooks Essentials and Plus users. You account is not 60 days or older to proceed. If you use QuickBooks Simple Start, you may cancel it and purchase a new account.

If you delete your company data, it won't cancel your QuickBooks or payroll subscriptions. However, you will have to reenter any employee or historical info you want to keep. This process completely clears out your books.

 

Sign in to QuickBooks Online
Look at the URL in your browser's address bar. Delete all the text after the last / and enter purgecompany.
For example:
Before: https://...qbo.intuit.com/app/homepage
After: https://...qbo.intuit.com/app/purgecompany
To confirm you want to delete your company data, type Yes.
Select Wipe data.
Once the process is finished, you can start your books from scratch.

I'd be more than happy to help you get familiar with QuickBooks Online.

 

There are several ways to input  your transaction in QBO. You can add them using the + New button and choose the appropriate type of transaction to record them.

If these are payroll transactions from previous year, you can enter historical payroll information.

 

Here's how:

  1. go to the Workers menu at the left pane to get to the Employees page.
  2. Select the employee to open the information, then Enter prior pay details
  3. Enter the necessary information.
  4. Click Save and close.
