I have been automatically placed in a 28-day free trial for the QBO upgrade. The annoying ad pops up constantly! How can I turn it off???
Hello there, djorgensen.
Currently, we are unable to turn off any pop-ups in QuickBooks. They're designed to suggest and guide you how to improve your experience. I'll personally share this feedback to our product development team.
Please know that I'm always here to help if you need anything else.
That is completely outrageous!!! The popup for the QBO Upgrade is anything but helpful - a person should be able to say 'No thanks' - are you trying to force an unwanted upgrade on us and start charging more money for features we don't want????? I am REALLY disappointed in Quickbooks right now - everything was going so well until this nonsense.
Hello there, @mpm2.
I appreciate you joining this thread, putting your voice out, and providing feedback.
I'll take note of your post, the highlights of your experience, and your concern about the pop-up advertisement for QBO upgrade. I'll pass this along here on my end and let you know in this thread once I get updates.
Please know that we don't intend to make you feel this way. You can always count on me in if you need anything or you have something for me to share on your behalf. Have a good one.
Hopefully, enough people complain about this. It is pretty ridiculous to pay what we pay a month only to be bombarded with ads to upgrade. I understand a one-time ad to showcase the option, but I shouldn't have my workspace cluttered with ads if I am paying for this service. I understand if it is a free service, but I pay a good deal of month to use it, and I expect to use it without ads too.
Thanks for joining this conversation and for sharing your thoughts here in the Community, @stillh2oman.
For now, the only way to get rid of the advertisements is by manually closing them through the X sign or the No thanks option. Rest assured that I'm making it my top priority that your feedback reaches our Product Development Team.
In the meantime, I recommend visiting our QuickBooks Blog website to stay up to date on any updates or improvements on the online version. You can bookmark the link I'm adding down below:

@FritzF - I do not see an 'X' or a 'No thanks' option - where is it?? Just this annoying banner that says 'There's more too Advanced. Get 60% off the full version Unlock today' along with the annoying Overview 'Try It' and Reports 'Try it' - I would LOVE TO HAVE A NO THANKS OPTION. Please tell me where it is.

Hello there, mpm2.
If you can't see the option to click X or No Thanks on the pop-up, you can click anywhere to get rid of it.
I'll personally send this feedback to our product engineers that you'd like an option to turn off ads.
Always know the Community team is always around if need anything else.
Ditto for the annoying ads trying to cross-sell other Intuit ads related to Quickbooks. One appears nearly time I log in. Quit it, please!
We don't want our customers to feel inconvenienced, Bev0aks.
QuickBooks is designed this way so you'll be updated with our latest features.
Rest assured, I'll send feedback to our development team that you'd want this pop-up advertisement to be turned-off.
Additionally, you may want to visit our blog to check out our new features. You can visit the page through this link: https://quickbooks.intuit.com/blog/.
If you have other QuickBooks concerns, I'm here to help you out.
QBO has been saying on this thread for 6 months they are going to pass on users frustrations with pop up ads but nothing has changed. It is ridiculous that you don't give us the option to select "Don't show me this again". You have it for other messages, give your paying users the option to opt out of your annoying and time wasting ads.
Yes please pass this along to your engineers. This software is becoming very annoying and 2020 has glitches that need to be fixed. every invoice is past due even if it is not. QB's also updated 2002 and invoices were paid but QB's said they were not, altering the actual aging report.
I wish I could make it better, @JMartinTX.
Let's run the QuickBooks Utility tools and fix your invoices data and aging report.
A. To Verify Data
B. To Rebuild Data
In addition, here's an article you can read to learn more about the QuickBooks tools: Verify and Rebuild Data in QuickBooks Desktop.

Thank you, it said no problems found.
Its been another 9 months. Turns out they don't actually care! Every time I log on I have to close unnecessary ads trying to sell me products/services.
The popup ads are getting worse. I have at 3 to close everytime before I can
start my work. I pay and I should have the option to say no thanks and never
see the same ad again!
