Customers using QuickBooks enterprise no less which have made large investments in this for software and support have suffered unnecessarily with terribly ineffective support designed to frustrate the customer to the maximum degree. As an IT professional I've seen this over and over again. I have a situation with an enterprise customer that is suffering constant unrecoverable errors to all users multiple times per day for months now five hours on the phone today and yesterday to help out a client and I was told that I need to call back in when the issue occurs (which is why I called in in the first place just now with screenshots) And was told again that unless the issue occurs while the representative watches it occur it cannot be escalated. Complete Nonsense. No surprise this appears to be an orchestrated plan to shed customers off their desktop products!
Sadly, the customer support is like that across the board. Doesn't matter which QB product you use. Sorry for your frustrations. My only suggestion is find a different company to use for Bookkeeping/ accounting. Everyone would be better off.

Another option, find a 3rd party service provider to check your company file (and fix it later) or buy a 3d party service to convert your data to another program.
We have been support the QB products for 20+ years, my first and foremost concern are the end users and businesses that have been investing time, effort and dollars in your product for so many years only to find very strong price increases and equally as strong diminishing customer support. It really is unfortunate as well as text book case of how to burn your client base that you spent so many years building.
The fact is we still have a long time QB Enterprise client that has undergone tremendous difficulty with program errors for months now and there is no commitment or effort from intuit support to resolve the issue. Rather than hang clients in horrible experience with your product, either make a decision to discontinue or support it properly. This goes across the board from QB, Payroll & merchant services.
