How to reconcile an Apple Credit Card

I'm here to provide details about reconciling your Apple credit card in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

Since this credit card is not connected to QBO and the files are just imported, here's how you can reconcile them:

1. Start with the first transaction on your statement.
2. Find the same transaction in the Reconciliation window in QuickBooks.
3. Compare the two transactions. If they match, put a checkmark next to the amount in QuickBooks. This marks it as reconciled.
4. If a transaction doesn't appear on your statement but you see it in QuickBooks, don't put a checkmark.
5. Compare each transaction on your statement with what's in QuickBooks.
6. When you reach the end, the difference between your statement and QuickBooks should be $0.00. If it is, select Finish now.

Once done, pull up the reconciliation report to review your work. Here's how:

1. In QBO, go to the Bookkeeping or Accounting menu at the left pane, then select Reconcile.
2. Select History by account.
3. Use the dropdown menus to select the account and date range.

I am starting these reconciliations with a balance.  How do you know which beginning balance to use?  The Apple Credit Card statement lists 3 balances.  And when I add up the debits and the credits, it doesn't balance (I'm assuming because of Apple Cash).
