I can no longer open the QB app on my desktop to get to Quickbooks online. It looks like QB recently upgraded and so did my computer. How can I fix this?

I can no longer open the QB app on my desktop to get to Quickbooks online. It looks like QB recently upgraded and so did my computer. How can I fix this?

Before we begin, may I ask if you've encountered an error message upon opening the QBO Desktop app?

 

In the meantime, we can perform some basic troubleshooting to resolve this issue by clearing your app's data. Here's how: 

 

  1. Open your PC Settings.
  2. Go to the Application list.
  3. Choose the QuickBooks app from the list, then select Storage.
  4. Select clear data.

 

Once done, power down and restart your PC. If you still experience the same error after following these steps, the best course of action would be to uninstall the app and then reinstall it. This process can help refresh your app settings. Here's how to uninstall a program from your computer:

 

  1. Right-click on the program you want to remove.
  2. Select Uninstall.
