I appreciate you for notifying us of your concern, @TZ.
Yes, you're right. As per checking, I've confirmed an ongoing investigation about no 1099 e-filings to show under the 1099 tab in QuickBooks Online (QBO). Rest assured that our engineers are prioritizing this issue so you can resume viewing the filing status of your 1099s as soon as possible.
In the meantime, I recommend reaching out to our customer support team so they can add you to the list of affected users. This way, you'll receive email updates regarding the investigation status. To do that:
Additionally, you'll want to print your 1099 forms in QBO for record-keeping purposes.
Keep in touch if you have additional questions about 1099s. I'll be happy to assist you further. Take care, and have a good one.
I hope the issue gets resolved soon. I am getting inquiries from contractors about 1099s. I filed early thinking I will get this done and do not have to worry about it but now I am spending my time trying to figure out, where are the 1099s that I filed.
I have gotten no updates on this issue yet. Its been more than 10 days now.
You'll probably wait 10 years and still not have an answer. Unfortunately, this is no longer a fluke when dealing with QuickBooks Customer (dis)Service.
Yes, well the problem is, just like the OP, I can't print the 1099's because, as the OP already pointed out, "[QuickBooks Online] says there are no 1099 efilings to show." Hard to print something that isn't even displayed.
I look forward to reading the bot reply to this comment.
Hi @Al from Ambit - After several calls to QB and chatting to numerous rep I kept getting the same answer. Until yesterday I found this post of someone who had a similar issue and had to re-file. I shared that with the rep and they realized my 1099s were never filed and I had to re-file too. In few minutes after refiling I could see the 1099s under the 1099 filing tab and got an IRS confirmation too. I am glad I did not believe the Customer service who kept saying just wait till 31st it will show up.
Here is post that shared a similar issue - https://quickbooks.intuit.com/learn-support/en-us/taxes/re-1099-status-in-qbo/01/1378943/highlight/f...
Hi @TZ
When you originally filed, did you receive confirmation from the "Intuit 1099 Support Team" that your 1099's had been filed? The reason I ask is because I did receive confirmation, but now I'm not so sure. Thanks for the link!
No I did not receive a new confirmation from Intuit support. I only got a confirmation after the second filing.
Thanks @TZ . That link showed me how to find my 1099's. I appreciate ya!
