Hello, Malhaar65.

We don't want our customers to feel inconvenienced. We're always striving to improve our products and services.

You're right though. QuickBooks is unable to support a pass-through entity code. We only support the code (30) for withholding taxes. You'll have to process these taxes in your state agency's website.

You're always welcome to get back to this thread if you have other concerns.

Hello malhaar65,

The VA Employer Withholding Number format given by the state agency is 99-099999999F-999. Since you have the correct format, I recommend reaching out to our payroll support. They can help you enter it for you.

You can get our phone number in this link: https://payroll.intuit.com/support/contact/?infosrc=qs&service=64.

If you have any questions, please let us know. We'll be right here to help.

The support desk has not been helpful at all. I tried at the end of 2018 and was forced to file state on my own. I opened another ticket again for my current payroll, but to no avail. The support tech calls me, gets all the information, promises to call me back, and that never happens.

This is the error message I get.

The Account Number you entered does not match the required format '30-123456789F-123'.

Here's the help text at the bottom of the screen - that requires the account number to begin with 30. I suspect Intuit doesn't have the processes built for filing as a pass-through entity (Form 502W).
