I need to speak or chat with someone

I accidentally pressed the wrong button -- I do not want automatic back-up and if I did, after that terrible experience of trying to get answers, I would definitely cancel.

Your customer service is abomidable!!!!

Please know that helping you is our top priority, @517.

Can you tell us more about the issue you're having today with automatic back-up? I'll be sure to get back to you with a solution.

In QuickBooks Online, we automatically backs your data up with the same level of security used by banks and financial institutions.

In QuickBooks Desktop, you can either back up your data automatically or do them manually.

If you don't like to have it automatically, you can have it manually. Here's how:

  1. Click the File menu and choose Switch to Single-user Mode.
  2. Go back to the File menu and hover to Back up Company and choose to Create Local Backup.
  3. Click on Local Backup and then Next.
  4. In the Local Backup Only section, select Browse and choose where you want to save your backup company file.
  5. Select OK, then Save it now and Next.

You'll receive a confirmation message once done. You can refer to this article for more information: Back up your QuickBooks Desktop company file.

Also, here's more information on how you use that file in restoring a backup of your company file.

Leave a reply below if you have follow-up questions with your company file. I'm always here to further assist. Keep safe!

Thanks for visiting us here today, @Albert Johary.

I'll make sure you're able to get your sick pay calculated. Let's make sure you've correctly set up your salaried employee.

Here's how:

  1. Go to Payroll, then select Employees.
  2. Tap the employee's name and then Edit employee.
  3. Tick the Pencil icon next to Pay. Then, the Pencil icon next to How much do you pay [employee]?
  4. Make sure to enter  the hours in the Employee works hours per day and days per week box.
  5. Under You can also pay [employee], mark the Sick Pay box and choose a Sick pay policy or add a new one.
  6. Click Done.

Once done, go back to the payroll center and try creating a dummy paycheck. These steps should calculate your employee's sick pay. Learn more about the set up at this guide: Set up and track time off in payroll.

Additionally, here's a link that covers all tasks you can do when using the payroll feature.

Let me know if you still have questions or concerns with payroll. I'll be around for you. Take care and have a great day ahead.
