Join nowHello,
Our company uses QuickBooks 2019 Desktop Pro. We import IIF files for checks and print those checks in QuickBooks. We have been doing this for a while and understand that part of the process and required formatting for the IIF file.
My question is this. We print on 3-part checks. We would like to include some remittance advice or a description on the second or middle part of the check. We know how to use the memo line on the check but we have more details than will fit on this line so we would like to print these details on the check stub that goes to the vendor (the middle portion of the three-part check).
Is there a way to add this remittance advice to the IIF record so it will print on the check stub?
Thanks for any importation you can provide.
Generally you can import only the same things you can record manually.
You can for example add multiple SPL rows using the MEMO column only to the IIF file.
How do you/would you record such checks manually to get the desired result?
Currently, the check styles supported in QuickBooks Desktop are Voucher, Standard and Wallet, brconsultingid2.
Voucher will print the check info at the top and two stubs at the bottom. Standard will print three copy of checks only, while Wallet will print three checks and stubs on the side.
The style to include remittance in the second or third copy is not yet supported. Right now, I’ll make sure to take note of this preference and share it over to our developers for future updates.
