I just installed POS 18.0 on Windows 11 and when it checks for updates it tells me it is up to date when clearly it isn't.
My POS server workstation is at version 24.15.100
My new workstation install is at version 24.6.3 so clearly it needs updates but it says it is up to date.
I also noticed that Intuit has removed version 18 from their downloads at QuickBooks Downloads
Any advice?
Good morning, @Jabba513.
It's great to see you back in the Community. Allow me to give you some additional information.
If you've tried all of these steps and the software still isn't up-to-date, then I recommend contacting our Customer Support Team. They'll be able to take a closer look and see why this is happening on their end.
Feel free to let us know how it goes. I'm only a post away if you need me again. Have a wonderful day!
Can't do manual updates as the Help tab is not accessible.
Also customer support told me they would not help me as our serial number doesn't match somewhere. I suspect the vendor registered it in their name.
It's so impossibly hard to deal with Intuit at times.
Hey there again, @Jabba513.
Let me share some insight that may help.
As another option, you can try to update the contact information in your account with these steps: Update your user ID, phone number, and contact information for Intuit.
If you're unable to, then I suggest reaching out to the vendor to get this resolved.
Keep us updated on how everything goes. Happy Friday!
Jabba, Here's the deal. Intuit has either got the next POS coming out and the turn the lights out on 18 OR they've got issues with it and Win11. Calling support means $$$. You'll have to decide to leave the beast or feed it. Sorry but that's the cold hard facts been with the POS group since Ver 8 and it's only gotten more expensive and every new version bring hurdles to jump over.

Can you contact your vendor to transfer the license? Otherwise, I would recommend installing the trial license for QB POS v19 on Win 10 before buying a commercial license. Don't install QBD on Win 11 until they support it natively.
