Is anyone else having issues with using Quickbooks for their 1099's?

I did that and have talked to about 4 different people at QB's support - not one person can tell me what the problem is - I have been disconnected after being on the phone with someone there for 1 1/2 hours and then could not talk to that person so had to start all over expaining my issue.  The next person told me to resubmit even though I did submit 3 other times and of course it was rejected again for the 4th time. No one can tell me what info is incorrect so that I can correct it.  My 1099- Misc were accepted - my 1099-Nec's were all rejected but 3 and there is no ryhme or reason as to why only 3 were accepted. I was told to contact all of my vendors/contractors to make sure their info is correct - I hae a couple 100.  Someone was supposed to call me back yesterday and I have heard nothing.

Yes! I have had my 1099-NEC forms rejected 3 times already. I'm thinking the problem is that QuickBooks is putting my SS# as a EIN, so it is a different format. That is the only thing I can come up with. I've used QB for many years with 1099s and this is the first year that I've had this issue. Please advise

Is anyone else having issues with using Quickbooks for their 1099's?

Hello,

Thank you for your reply, but it is not an employee SS#. It is my companies SS#. Since I am a sole proprietor I use my SS# for tax documents, not an EIN. I have my SS# entered correctly on the business info page, but my e-file keeps getting rejected by the IRS. It says my company name or EIN is not what the IRS has on file.

My only explanation is when I look at the actual 1099-NEC is shows my SS# in the format of a EIN. For example ##-####### instead of ###-##-####

Unfortunately, the due date has passed and I had to use another service to file my 1099's.  I tried for over a week to get this completed through QB's with no answeres.  I now need to see about getting a refund from QB's for what I have been charged for the 1099's that were rejected. Who do I contact for that?
