Locations not working with new invoice templates?

I have a list of locations with custom names and addresses, and the new invoice template appears to disregard when a location is selected for a new invoice.  Anyone else having this issue?  Any way to fix it?

Locations not working with new invoice templates?

Hi there, @NOLAP

Thank you for reaching out to the Community.

The location feature is only for tracking sales by a specific site. This feature lets you see all the payments for one location and deposit them as a group.

The issue occurs because of outdated or corrupted cache files in your web browser. Let's perform some troubleshooting steps to isolate the issue.

Here's how:

  1. Try using a private or incognito browser.
  2. Restart your browser.
  3. Clear your browser's cache.
  4. Add Intuit as a trusted site.

Note that you have to follow the set of instructions for your browser type.

If this doesn't work, please contact our Contact Online Support by calling the provided number seen at the end of the article.

Likewise, if you want to see what’s new with estimates and invoices in QuickBooks Online for guidance you can check the article.

Please don't hesitate to reach out if you need further assistance regarding with your locations not working with new invoice templates. Keep Safe!

Locations not working with new invoice templates?

So is this a change from the old invoices system?

Before changing to the new invoice system, if I selected a new location, it would customize the invoice in line with that location's specific info which you provided in the location list.  Such as: "This location has a different company name when communicating with clients."

Previously, if I changed the location on an invoice, it would change the name, address, phone number, etc on that invoice in line with location's settings on the location list.

Is this currently intended behavior in the new invoice system that locations do not adjust invoices?

Locations not working with new invoice templates?

I am having the same problem with the new layout. The invoices should reflect the settings in the locations list. Please address these issues with the new template/layout. It's still a problem.

Locations not working with new invoice templates?

I appreciate you sharing your concern in this thread, @Anonymous32.

When you update your location or information, the changes will reflect on both old and new invoice layouts, which show a list of locations. If you opt for a custom address and name, this option is unavailable on the new invoice layout. Improvements are still in progress.

Meanwhile, you can use the old invoice layout to display the custom address and name. Let me share how:

  1. On the left navigational bar, click the +New button.
  2. Choose Invoice.
  3. On the top-right corner, click the Old Layout button.
  4. Tap the Switch layout button.
  5. Enter or select the necessary details, and click Leave and Submit button.

Since the option is unavailable, I encourage you to share your thoughts and suggestions through our feedback channel. Our team would love to hear from you and consider your ideas for future software updates.

Here's how:

  1. Log in to your QuickBooks Online account.
  2. Click the +New button, select the new invoice layout
  3. On the right upper, click the Feedback button.
  4. Comment with your thoughts and Submit feedback.

Moreover, I'll share this article to help you personalize and add specific info on your sales forms: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts.

Please let us know whenever you have other queries about invoices. I'm here to help. Take care.
