New Invoice updates and fixes that are needed

I want to add this post and point out to Intuit how your updates are worse than the old invoice system.  Hopefully you can read this and make some changes to keep the system efficient:

Tags - I enter all my tags on the estimates and they are no longer carrying over onto the invoice.  This is making me re-enter data that I already entered. This is a waste of time, why is my entered data not flowing to the invoices?

Attachments - None of my attachments are carrying from the estimate to the invoice.  They used to carry automatically and now I have to re-attach from my files and this is a waste of time.

Please update this as it's causing redundant work that was already done.  I don't understand why these updates are needed, the old system was fine.

They (QB) keep saying it's to make things "more efficient".  Personally , I fail to see the efficiency.

They HAVE made it a mess, though, plus making it extra work for everyone using it.

Yes, I also forgot to add my shipping address is not copying from my estimates.  Another thing I have to enter twice.  Why do they make these unneeded changes?

This isn't the kind of impression that we want you to experience with the new estimates and invoices layout in QuickBooks Online (QBO), El. We all want to give our customers a comfortable and convenient experience in utilizing the product features.

I acknowledge that tags and attachments from estimates on the classic layout carry over when converted to an invoice. As we establish this modern layout in the application, we always strive to improve QuickBooks by introducing new features and enhancements. Our top priority is to provide our customers with the best possible experience.

Since these are new, features such as carrying over the tags and attachments are still unavailable. Thus, I recommend sending this suggestion to our product development team. Our product development team is responsible for evaluating and implementing new enhancements, so they would be better equipped to determine the feasibility and benefits of your suggestion for our users:

  1. Go to the Gear icon.
  2. Select Feedback.
  3. Enter a brief description of your product suggestion.
  4. Click Next to submit feedback.

In the meantime, I recommend continuing your workaround by reattaching tags and attachments to your transactions. I'll also add these articles for reference:

I'll keep this thread open if you have further questions or clarifications about the new layout. The Community always has your back. Stay safe!

New Invoice updates and fixes that are needed

I have already left feedback several times but I want to make it heard in the public forums as I'm seeing consistently that nobody likes the incomplete and poorly implemented updates.  It is making work immensely slower.  I am hoping that intuit will add back some of the old functionality or simple roll back the unnecessary and convoluted updates.

Intuit is a huge company and for them to roll out such a poorly though out update with and less functionality and a worse user experience is absolutely mind boggling.  Why does nobody tests such a massive update for obvious features that were already included?

What is the purpose of making such unneeded changes?

Of course it is. The "impression" (whatever that means) is a direct result of what you are foisting on customers for no good reason. It is exactly what you want customers to experience, because it is exactly what you shipped.
