Intuit is the worst company I've ever dealt with. And that's in a world with AT&T and Comcast. Absolutely inept and even worse, immoral.
This issue seems to have been around for a very long time.
I am still experiencing it. I am guessing it is because I use a customised invoice layout, and most or my invoices are created semi-automatically using Send Later.
But really, what is taking so long to sort here? It seems bizarre to offer the new layout if it doesn't work.

I understand how frustrating it is especially when you've invested time and effort in customizing your invoice layout to suit your needs. Invoice forms are updated for better usability and upgraded technology. However, some features may be temporarily unavailable during the transition.
Possible reason why updated Invoice layout reverts to old is because unsupported features from the old layout are still active.
To fix this, do the following:
On the other-hand, you can try updating the layout in an incognito Chrome window on a different device/network to rule out browser cache or extensions.
