Setting up your customers' UPS accounts to allow them to be billed for shipping charges directly through their shipping accounts isn't available. Instead, the registered UPS account will be used. With this, I recommend including shipping charges as a line item on invoices to track your customers' shipping costs.
Regarding your third question, you can continue using your negotiated UPS rates, as it will not be affected by the QuickBooks integration. You'll also find that for QuickBooks and QuickBooks Point of Sale 2014 and later, you can enter your account number in the Shipping Manager to view UPS discounted rates.
I'll add this resource for more information about QuickBooks Shipping Manager: Intuit QuickBooks Shipping Manager.

I have 3 major customer accounts that rely on me shipping their drop ship orders through 3rd party accounts via FedEx and UPS. Will this option be added to the shipping manager?? This is a critical and important asset for our business.
I also rely heavily on a reference line being included on my shipping labels that specify the specific product/case count that it's meant for. I do not see in the current shipping manager where this is an option.
I appreciate it, but I get Access Denied on EITHER button - one in the middle, and the one in the upper right.
@j528868 , I just went though the UPS setup again. Make sure that you're stretching the window enough to see the "Log In ->" button in the top right corner. Also DO NOT use any of the other fields. Any slight deviation will cause a failure.
Any one figure out how to setup the default shipping profile (size / weight / service)?
and
anyone figure how to add your account so you do not have use this wallet? No need for CC to be added, have a account.
Did anyone at QB look at the old shipping manager when creating this new system.. It seem they completely missed the mark on this one...
Like others I need to be able to put in other UPS account numbers so the shipping is billed to the correct account, can not see how to do this...
I dont know whom developed this new shipping manager, but doesn't allow blind drop is not acceptable for business. Lots companies require blind drop ship which requires us to use their shipping carrier account number to generate shipping label.
Totally agree with you. Lacking of this feature is not acceptable.
You can set up an external carrier account to manage your shipping needs, brvoltz.
When setting up Shipping Manager with your existing UPS account, the information you've added the first time will be your default shipping profile. For additional details, check out this link: Intuit QuickBooks Shipping Manager.
Regarding your other query, you can set up an additional external account since your existing UPS shipment profile can utilize one wallet account.
Please know that QuickBooks Shipping Manager supports multi-shipping shipments. To do this:
Additionally, I've included these references to know how the new shipping feature works:

Yes, but EVERY SINGLE TIME I authenticate to UPS, I get 'Access Denied'. No matter which login button I click. If I go to UPS.com and login with the same credentials, it works like a champ. There is still something inherently wrong with the ship manager.
I cannot believe you work at QBE team and you have no idea about my problem. Please go back to the old shipping manager and choose UPS or FedEx, then change the payment to "freight collect (ups)" or "recipient (Fedex)". We need to be able to use customers own shipping account number to ship the package to them. Many customers require to use their shipping account to ship.
We also need to be able to ship multiple packages in ONE shipment. The old shipping manager has this feature.

It is a mess. I cannot believe they even have no idea about our problem and cannot understand the issue.

I just realized that this conversation is happening right now! Most posts you're reading the history and this conversation tells me I need to go ahead and quickly find an alternative to the shipping manager. That's where this issue is at this point.
I guess I'll check back in a few months to see if they got the seriously lacking new one finished. I can tell from the updates recently that it's been in the update and then the next update stopped promoting it, but I think the new one will probably have me try to use it again.
That means it's not ready for public release yet. They should hire some software developers to tell the AI how to make software.
Exactly the same problem here...no matter what...access denied...

PaysTooMuch,
We're currently utilizing UPS WorldShip and FedEx Ship Manager as a backup.
I'm sure there are other solutions out there as well, just throwing out some helpful tools that worked for us.
Post what you select to use...
After following the directions, it is very Clear the QB team has No clue and has not tested... WOW..
While by simple definiation, this works...
BUT then when you try to "purchase" a label, you have to scoll and scoll and scoll to Stamps.com (the carrier sould be it's own field) NOT buried in the endless scrolling. They really should be a button at the top, so you select the carrier, like in the old ship manager. Really it seems that the development team is lost.
AND
The user should be able to HIDE package type they do NOT use. to stop the scolling.
UPS connection is BROKEN... everyone here knows it... How is that QB does not KNOW it?
And wait for when you print a shipping label..
1. Test print is NOT possible... (WTF are you people thinking?)
2. So I have to purchase a label to test... and to print (here we go again... Scoll to get to the button to print...) Are you people for real?
does not work... still getting error.
with the old system, you could in the setting have it (auto) paste the details to the invoice...
NOT with the new system... you have to copy and paste on every shipment...
HEAD up.. they use the "Nickname" when you cut and paste to the invoice.... the shipping info...
(they do not have a way to edit your after the fact or provide you witht a wait to format what text to cut and paste.)
