Pay Now Link in Mac Online

Mac Online Version QB

I created an invoice for a customer 2 weeks ago and the Pay Invoice and QR Code links were present. However, I created a new invoice, utilizing the same Estimate as the previous invoice, and neither the Pay Invoice link or QR Code link are present.

Nothing was changed in the system nor in the Customers profile. I cannot seem to be able to include the links in the new invoice.

Can someone help?

Pay Now Link in Mac Online

It can be a user who has turned off the payments feature, Wgarcia. Let's go ahead and check it out.

You can follow these steps:

  1. Click the Gear icon.
  2. Select Account and settings.
  3. Go to the Sales tab.
  4. Click the Pencil icon in the Invoice payments section.
  5. Check the Accept Credit Cards and Accept ACH boxes.
  6. Click Save, then Done.

If it's turned on, though, let's try to create a new estimate instead. Then, from there, we can convert it to an invoice. It helps us isolate the issue.

Also, are you using the Mac app or browser? If you're using the QuickBooks Online Mac, it's no longer supported. It can be the reason why you're encountering the issue. If you're using the browser, though. You can follow the steps above to resolve your concern.

Feel free to get back to this thread if you need more help. We'll be more than willing to assist you. Keep safe!

Pay Now Link in Mac Online

It's a standing estimate with several payments made to Estimate through previous invoices that had the Pay Invoice and QR Code link. I do not want to create another Estimate.

I have created 2 previous invoices from the Estimate and have had no issues with the links being present, however the last payment invoice created from the same Estimate as the previous 2 do not have the links.

The payment feature is on so the solution you presented does not fix the issue.

Thanks.

Pay Now Link in Mac Online

Thanks for the additional information, @wgarcia. I'm here to ensure the Pay Now button will show on the invoice.

To clarify, are you using the QuickBooks Online (QBO) Mac desktop app? Beginning April 20, 2021, the QBO Windows and Mac desktop apps are no longer supported. Find more details about the support and update discontinuation in this article: QBO Desktop App update.

I'd suggest using any supported browser. Then, try sending the invoice to your email to check if the Pay Now link is existing.

Here's how:

  1. Login to your QBO account.
  2. Go to the Sales menu and select the Invoice tab.
  3. Locate the invoice.
  4. Click the drop-down menu under the Action column and select View/Edit
  5. Ensure online payment is turned on.
  6. Enter your email address and click Send and Send.
  7. Then, Save and close.
  8. View the sent invoice in your inbox and access the payment portal to see the missing button.
