Good morning Community.
I am having a issue that seemingly can not be resolved with QB. I have a client that has converted from QB Desktop to QBO Plus. She also had the Payroll addition in desktop. They used this function simply to track billable hours for clients and time spent on other admin functions (Attorney and staff). Using an outside payroll source.
Once the conversion was completed and Payroll added to the Online system - they are no longer able to set up staff as time tracker users only - they will be using QBO Payroll if they continue with QBO at all. Since we can not set them up with time tracking capabilities they can not add billable time to client invoices. They are not using QuickBooks Time. I call and everyone wants to switch me over. Looking to find someone senior in the Payroll area that can walk me through the fix.
May lose a client over this....

There's an option to add a Time tracking-only user in QuickBooks Online.
This type of user can only enter timesheets for themselves and will only have access to timesheets and time reports. They can also select a customer and make the time entry billable when logging their work hours. It doesn't mean that you are required to use the QBO Payroll function or can't use a third-party payroll app to add a time tracking-only user.

I have done all of that and the issue still is not resolved. I believe it’s a multi level problem and I simply can not get anyone to listen to the full issue and work with me through it.

I understand that you've contacted our Technical Support before. Though in your case, it's best to speak with them again. They can investigate this specific issue you have, and provide you a resolution for it.

I have contacted them a total of seven times and it still isn’t resolved. I will contact them with week and am also clear that I may lose a client based on the the inability to resolve their unique QuickBooks issues
