Poor Readability in QuickBooks Desktop for Mac

I was just forced to upgrade due to incompatibility with my new Mac. The upgrade has zero new features and one huge problem.

The problem is readability of the colors in registers. I have tried every single color and the only one which is even slightly readable is black.

A quick internet search shows this to be a long standing and persistent problem with quickbooks users and yet the company has not fixed it.

This will be my last upgrade purchase.

It's possible that you're using a dark mode, tunawish.

You can assign colors to your account registers. It can either be in Light or Dark Mode. To change it, here's how:

  1. Go to the Apple menu.
  2. Select System Preferences.
  3. Click General, then select Light.

You can follow these steps to customize the color of your account registers:

  1. Open any account register.
  2. At the upper right, select the color dropdown. For more options, you can select Other to open the color palette.
  3. Select the color you want your register to show up. The register content, text, and rows appear in that color.
  4. If you don’t want the text to show up in the color you chose, select the color dropdown. Then, uncheck Allows Color Text.

Keep in touch if you need any more assistance on fixing your display windows, or there's something else I can do for you. I've got your back. Have a good day.

Nope. Already in light mode.

The colors you offer are weak and make readability horrible.
