Print or Preview feature no longer works on tablets

The "print or preview" feature works on the office laptop but all employee tablets stopped working.

When clicking on "print or preview" while viewing an invoice, it turns green then just sits there.

This feature just suddenly stopped.

Since it is happening on multiple tablets, we assume it is a QBO issue, versus a tablet setting.

Suggestions?

Thank You!

Print or Preview feature no longer works on tablets

I've got your back, @acm2121. I'll make sure you'll be able to use the print or preview feature in QuickBooks Online (QBO).

There are times when an issue like this occurs when we encounter a browser-related issue. We can fix this by running some basic troubleshooting steps to fix the unusual behavior in your QBO.

First, let's open a private or incognito window and use it to access QBO. It will not save any history, making it a good place to identify browser-related problems. To save you time, check out these keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: Ctrl Shift N
  • Safari 11 or newer: ⌘ Shift N
  • Mozilla Firefox: Ctrl Shift P
  • Microsoft Edge: Ctrl Shift P

If you're able to use the print or preview feature using a private browser, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Clearing the cache or cookies is the best way to get a clean slate for your browser. Otherwise, using other supported browsers can be a good alternative too.

Additionally, you can personalize and add specific info to your invoice and other form styles in QuickBooks Online. To know more about it, you can check out the detailed steps in this article: Customize invoices, estimates, and sales receipts in QuickBooks Online.

I've also included this article so you'll have a guide to manually record invoice payments: Record invoice payments in QuickBooks Online.

In addition, I've got this helpful resource to know more details about user roles and access rights in QuickBooks Online.

Print or Preview feature no longer works on tablets

Kevin,

Thanks for the reply. I opened an incognito window, signed in and tried the "print or preview" feature.

Same result; highlights to green then nothing happens.

Still works well on office laptop.

Emptied all caches; no change.

We have used Chrome for years on the tablets and laptop; no recent changes on our end.

What confuses us is that ALL tablets no longer work. Cache histories/usage would be different

to each tablet. Again, clearing caches changed nothing.
