After the recent update, I am not able to print anything from Quickbooks, either to the working directly connected printer or to a PDF file. I have tried the renaming the QBPRINT.QBP file and creating a new one, running the Quickbooks Desktop PDF Tool application, as well as holding down the shift key while clicking on File and then Printer Setup. After opening up Quickbooks, the first time that Printer Setup is clicked on, the "spinning circle" appears but then no additional window opens. Following that any additional Printer Setup is clicked, nothing happens.
Any ideas?
Good day, MJ Hammer,
I appreciate the in-depth details you've shared about what you're currently experiencing. Let's get this sorted out.
First, let's try opening a QuickBooks sample company file then try printing the same type of form or report. If it works, use you'll need to run the Verify and Rebuild Utilities to identify and resolve data damages in the company file. Follow the steps below:
You may refer to this article to know more about the process: Resolve data damage on your company file.
However, if the issue persists, you can perform a Reinstall Quickbooks for Windows using a clean install.
Once done, try printing the transaction/report again to see if it works this time. If not, I'd suggest contacting our Support Team to get further assistance. Here's how to contact them:
There they can help you resolve the hitch you're experiencing. They can also do a screen sharing session to isolate the issue immediately.
That should do it, MJ Hammer. Please let me know how this goes. I want to ensure you're issue gets taken care of. Have a great day!
If you are running Windows 10, remove the Settings option to "let Windows manage my printer."
