Yes, the migration to QuickBooks Online (QBO) is approximately 30 minutes long. You'll want to maintain QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) until the migration is complete.

You may need to close other applications running in the background. Simply press and hold the CTRL and ALT keys, and press the DELETE key. Then, end programs that you aren't using at the moment.

Also, you'll want to ensure your QuickBooks file is under 350,000 targets (file size does not matter). You can trim it down by checking out this article Trimming your QuickBooks Windows file for import for more details.

If it's over this limit, you will only be given the option to import your lists or balances.

You can start the export process again. Here's how:

1. Update QuickBooks to the latest release: Select Help, then select Update QuickBooks.
2. Close and reopen QuickBooks to install the updates.
3. Select Company, then Export Company File to QuickBooks Online.
4. Follow the onscreen instructions.

It's already in 2022.  I didn't do this.  This was how it was sent to me.   I did condense it to 2947 targets.
