We have a 3 user QB Premier desktop license currently set for the Manufacturing edition. One person who performs A/R and A/P wants to use batch transactions which requires an edition switch from Manufacturing to Accountant. Can this switch be done for just one user or must all others also switch? Thanks.
Which QB Desktop year version do you have? QB Desktop Premier 2021 or 2022?
Thank you for posting here in the Community., willough.
Yes, you're right. Only QuickBooks Desktop Premier Accountant 2018, Enterprise Solutions 18.0, Enterprise Accountant 2018, and later versions support batch transactions.
Therefore, if you want to use this feature, you can upgrade to a more recent version of QuickBooks Desktop, and all users will be switched over to the new version as well.
Here's an article that you can use once you decide to upgrade: Enter transactions by batch in QuickBooks Desktop.

You may have 2 options:
1. Cancel your QBD Premier Plus subscription and purchase a new one time license for QBD 2022 (Premier) Accountant edition. Intuit will not offer a one-time licensing option when they release QBD 2023 this month.
2. Purchase the one time license for QB Desktop 2022 Accountant for single user = $1,100
Please note, use with accountant edition will not be able to access files simultaneously with other users.
