QB Mac 2021 Report column-width won't stick

P.S. This seems to be isolated to the Trial Balance report.

Let's get this sorted out so you're able to retain your memorized report's column widths in QuickBooks Desktop (QBDT) for Mac, @DavidChB.

When you customize a report's column and memorized it to save the changes, its width shouldn't revert to the original one. Since this is solely focused on the Trial Balance report, you may have minor data issues with your company file. Don't worry since QBDT for Mac has built-in tools to automatically fix this matter. You can repair your company file by utilizing the Verify and Rebuild Data tools. Let me guide you how.

1. Go to the File menu.
2. Choose Utilities and then select Rebuild Data.
3. On the QuickBooks Information window, select OK. Then, follow the onscreen steps to save a backup.
4. Let the tool repair your file. It may take some time. 
5. When the tool finishes, select OK.
6. Go to the File menu.
7. Choose Utilities and then select Verify Data.
8. Let the tool check your file for data issues.

I followed your suggestion but unfortunately the problem still persists, whether I open a memorized Trial Balance and re-memorize it or open a new one and memorize that one.

You are not missing a thing. I'm on my fourteenth year of using QB for Mac, and from my experience, there's ONE person at the help desk and they were unaware of the problem. For something so incredibly elementary, no one on the Mac end seems interested in correcting the problem. And that's the tip of the iceberg on QB for Mac. I liken it to a dumb blonde. Beautiful, but less than intelligent. My bookkeeper uses QB for Windows and she refuses to deal with Mac-platform issues. She just grumbles every quarter when she visits. But I'm a Mac evangelist, and I'll stick with it until I retire, I guess... I also can't convert to subscription, because by so doing, I lose the ability to design my own forms, and so I have to stay with Desktop...
