How does one turn off all of the constant pop up ads to do whatever the next latest way to charge us more money off.  Its really getting annoying to close out these pop up boxes ever time I login.  Think they would get the picture that its not what we want.

Hello there, @JeremyP2.

In QuickBooks Online (QBO), the ads are designed to guide and suggest how to optimize your QBO experience. I see how the ads affect your navigation. However, we're unable to completely remove these pop-ups.

We can click the icon or the No thanks button to close the ads. Doing that several times would make the system recognize that it's unwanted on your part.

I'd recommend visiting our QuickBooks Blog to stay current with our latest features and product updates in QBO.

Also, check our Help articles page to learn and read some great resources for future reference.

You can always leave a query to this post for further assistance. I'm here to help. Have a good one.

The short, and only answer needed, is that it can NOT be turned off.  QB doesn't want you to have any type of control over your own acct.

Hi, @JeremyP2.

Hope you’re doing great. I wanted to see how everything is going about the pop-up ads you had the other day. Was it resolved? Do you need any additional help or clarification? If you do, just let me know. I’d be happy to help you at any time.

Looking forward to your reply. Have a pleasant day ahead!

I cannot close a pop up ad to order supplies even though I have checked off the box to not ask again about supplies.  I can't use anything in Quickbooks until this ad is closed.

Thanks for joining this thread, @tstriegel.

To get rid of this problem, I suggest ordering your supplies through a private/incognito window. The private window will not save any history, making it a good place to identify browser problems. To save you time, use either of these keyboard shortcuts:

  • Google Chrome: press Ctrl + Shift + N
  • Mozilla Firefox: press Shift + Ctrl + P
  • Safari: press Command + Shift + N

If you're able to order supplies without pop-up ads using a private browser, go back to your regular browser and clear its cache. Clearing the cache or cookies is the best way to get a clean slate for your browser. Otherwise, using other supported browsers can be a good alternative too.

Moreover, you can continue to the page using the X or No, thanks buttons. This way, the pop-ups will keep from showing up again. On the other hand, here's how you can enable the pop-up blocker in your browser:

  1. Click the lock icon to the left of the address bar.
  2. Select Site settings (Google Chrome) or Permission for this site (Mozilla browser).
  3. Hover over the Pop-ups and redirects section, and choose Block from the drop-down menu.

Additionally, you can check out the topics from this link for more tips and resources while working with QuickBooks in the future: Help articles, video tutorials, and more.

Please know that you're always welcome to post a reply in this thread if you have any other questions about your QBO account. I'm more than happy to help. Stay safe!

I pay dearly to use this program. I don't want ads popping up all the time. WTH is wrong with Intuit.

I found the answer after searching and leaving multiple feedbacks which I assume they delete on arrival. Its simple, find another software. It's simple to get account data transferred to another company. Been a client for years and this service has really gone down the drain overtime.
