We are in trouble again :( we needed to upgrade the computer we use QB on and the new flash drive we backed up to broke. We found the online backup and put it on but the admin name is wrong so it is useless. What do we do to correct this?
The current Admin might be the person who initially set up your account, tbotzon. I know how important it is to get a backup copy of your file. I'm here to assist you.
To fix this, let's verify the primary admin of the account and change it to the current one. This way, you'll be able to download the backup copy. I'll show you how:
Once done, a notification will be sent to the email address of the current admin. If the person doesn't have access to the email, you'll need to submit an Intuit Account Name Change Form.
If you're unable to access CAMPS, I'd suggest contacting our QuickBooks Support Team. They're equipped with tools to help you transfer the primary admin role.
Once you're able to access your QuickBooks account, you can get a backup of your data. Then, restore it to your upgraded computer. This way, you can now start working on your file.
Please let us know how it goes, tbotzon. I'm only a post away if you need more help in completing your other tasks in QuickBooks. It's always my pleasure to help you out again.
Here is what is happening. My son took the backup he made on the old computer that works fine with QB and it will not work on the new computer and this is what comes up when we try to access it. I put in the password (our business name is not the admin) and I get this code and it closes the program and it is unusable.
I want to stop this from happening to you, @tbotzon.

This sucks! I purchased this software and it still is not fixed. It is going back to rebuild once again and it is not assigned to anyone and we have payroll looming ahead. I want a refund or extension on this software! It has been nothing but problems and I KNOW I am not the only one. Amazon reviews support this.
Have you tried resetting your Admin password?

That is the first thing they did with the last rebuild
Last resort, purchase a 3rd party password removal service.
